Magnetic Variable ND Filters – JetMag Pro System

The NiSi JetMag Pro Magnetic System is unique. It was designed by photographers with speed and safety in mind.
Before exploring the Variable ND filter, let’s highlight two key aspects of our magnetic system:

• The quick-lock system: by rotating the colored handles to align with the white line on the ring, the filter is mechanically locked and won’t detach accidentally. Moreover, if two filters have their handles aligned but one does not, only the misaligned one will detach, allowing you to remove one or more filters selectively.
• The ultra-slim design drastically reduces vignetting. We tested two filters simultaneously with the Laowa 10mm f/2.8 Zero-D FF and experienced no mechanical vignetting! (10mm on Full Frame!)

JetMag Pro Vario ND (VND) 1-5 Stop

The NiSi Magnetic Vario ND has a range of 1 to 5 Stops. The proprietary film used to achieve the smooth transition from 1 to 5 Stops has high tonal homogeneity, precise colour rendition, and accuracy. This filter is also available screw on.

The Magnetic Vario-ND is a convenient way to add your filter in front of your lens quickly, and also add more filters in front of it.

This filter, in order to be used on your lens, needs the JetMag Pro Adapter ring, otherwise, check out the 1-5 Stops VND Flex Kit below with included adapter rings, lens caps and pouch.

JetMag Pro Vario ND (VND) 1-9 Stop Bundle Kit

Need more light reduction? No problem! Add a 4-stop JetMag ND filter to the 1-5 stop VND, and you’ll get an extended range of 5-9 stops. By purchasing the bundle, you can achieve 1 to 9 stops by adding a filter.

You might think, why not create a 1-9 stop Variable ND filter directly?
This option is not suitable for NiSi quality standards, because it will introduce the so-called “X effect” or “cross effect,” which, at such wide ranges, degrades the image with unwanted artefacts and colour shifts.

JetMag Pro 1-9 stops VND Mist Creator Kit
