100mm NiSi neutral density (ND) filters are the ideal tool for managing light in the field. Thanks to the wide range of densities available, NiSi ND filters allow you to extend shutter speeds even in bright conditions. Managing light with ND Filters allows you to have a fourth way to control exposure (in addition to ISO, time and aperture). The ND4 2 Stop NiSi 100×100 filter reduces the light by 4 times without altering the colours, therefore it allows to lengthen the shutter speed 4 times (for example from 1/15 “to about 1/4”, or from 1/2 “to 2 seconds).

Nano® indicates the use of the Nano Coating treatment, IR is the coating that blocks infrared light, and therefore the dominant magenta colour. While ND4, (0.6) and 2 stops indicate, with three different wordings, the value of the light absorption of the filter. The size is 100x100mm with a thickness of 2mm, so the filter is also compatible with third-party holders that support this standard and do not have high production tolerances. We recommend using a 100 series NiSi filter holder.

Construction

NiSi filters are all made of the highest quality lens grade optical glass which has a higher transmittance than standard optical glass such as B270 and much higher than resin. This ensures that no detail is lost in your images. As we are the only manufacturer to use lens grade optical glass for our filters, there are no comparable quality filters on the market.

Unique treatment

All NiSi square filters benefit from the use of the exclusive Nano Coating treatment which makes the filter water-repellent and oleophobic for perfect sharpness. NiSi filters also use IR technology to block infrared light, and therefore eliminate the risk of magenta colour cast. The special Nano Coating coating on both sides minimises unwanted reflections and gives the NiSi neutral density filters water-repellent and oleophobic properties.

Weatherproof and durable. 

The Nano® Coating treatment gives the filter the quality of repelling water and oils, making cleaning very easy even in extreme conditions or with the presence of seawater. The finishing of the edges and the rounded corners improve grip make our filters easier to handle and rounded corners are far less likely to break off.
