NiSi neutral density (ND) filters are the ideal tool for managing light in the field. Thanks to the wide range of densities available, NiSi ND filters allow you to extend shutter speeds even in bright conditions. The ND256 8 Stop NiSi 150x150mm filter reduces the light by 256 times without altering the colours, therefore it allows you to lengthen the shutter speed 256 times (for example from 1/30 “to about 8”, or from 1 “to about 256” that is 4 minutes and 26 “).

Nano® indicates the use of the Nano Coating treatment, IR is the coating that blocks infrared light, and therefore the dominant magenta colour. While ND256, (2.4) and 8 stops are different ways to indicate the value of light absorption of the filter in question. The filter measures 150x150mm with a thickness of 2mm.

In addition to the IR block, NiSi filters also block ultraviolet (UV) light, for an even more precise colour match.
Weatherproof
The Nano Coating® treatment gives the filter the quality of repelling water and oils, making cleaning very easy even in extreme conditions or with the presence of sea spray. The finishing of the edges and the rounded corners improve the resistance of the filter and the grip.
