58-52-49mm Macro Photography close-up lens
The 58mm NC Macro NiSi close-up lens allows you to increase the multiplication factor of your lens. Thanks to this lens, you can turn your lens into a macro lens with magnification even up to 1: 1 (or more!).
We recommend using the 58mm Macro close-up lens with lenses with focal lengths between 24-250mm (APS-C) or 35-250mm Full Frame. So any lens that presents (even partially) these focal lengths is fine. You can experiment with other focal lengths and you will be always surprised by the sharpness of the NiSi optical glass. The main features:
- Optical glass for NiSi precision applications. As always, the best optical glass on the market.
- Double apochromatic optical element
- Multi-Nano Coating® NiSi (NC) treatment, for better sharpness and easy cleaning from water and grease (such as fingerprints)
- Design that significantly reduces the purple/green fringing
- Diopters +5
- Working distance of 9-22cm from subject
The close-up lens screws directly to 58mm thread lenses and comes with adaptors for 49 and 52mm lenses. You can use a third party adapter ring to use the NiSI Close-up lens with smaller threaded lenses. The important thing is to have focal lengths between 24mm and 250mm. You can use it even with your 18-55mm Kit lens, but remember to use it above 24mm.

The NiSi Macro Close-up 58mm is the best choice to use in front of macro lenses up to 105mm. If the filter thread is not 49, 52 or 58mm you can use a third-party adapter (even bigger than 58mm).

Close-up lenses available today rarely use lens grade optical glass, let alone precision glass which is exclusive to NiSi. Moreover, only the best (and very expensive) close-up lenses use apochromatic lenses. In the NiSi Close-up we use two optical apochromatic elements. In addition, we have exclusively applied a NiSi Multi Coating treatment for this product which includes our exclusive Nano Coating® NiSi (NC).

In addition to the 58mm I also purchased the 77mm and, a step-up adapter ring, 62mm to 77mm. Everything about these lenses, build quality and clarity is first rate. Even the step-up adapter ring came beautifully presented in a quality case. Highly recommended.

Excellent service and quality. Takes a few try’s to get the hang of it but so worth it, the quality is 1st class, it doesn’t give any extra weight to the lens which is great, it’s so easy to carry along with you and has its very own case. Easy to fit to any lens with step ups and downs. No matter what lens I take out with me this now comes along. I would highly recommend this for anyone

I have been interested in nature photography and macro for many years using close up filters of the simpler types. I have also read Ross Hoddinot books on Macro and Close-up, so when I saw he had endorsed it I was pleased to buy it. The NISI Close-up lens now covers all of my needs in one lens giving great results from a Pentax 100m macro lens with 49mm filter size. It also works well with 62mm filter threads on a Pentax 18-135 and a Tamron 70-300. The two filter adapters with the lens and the step up to 62mm make a great solution.

While I haven't had much on an opportunity to use the close up lens, it looks a well made product and I am interested to see the results.

In the past I have used a full sized macro lens on a Sony body but I wanted to try a less expensive option on a Fuji X-T20. I am still doing trials on the lens and am pleased with the performance and convenience.

The quality of the lens is very good, no complaints there. My only slight issue is that I didn’t realise quite how close you need to get to your target to get any focus. No problem if it isn’t flying away but otherwise it can be tricky.
