JetMag Pro magnetic variable ND filter
For videographers, filmmakers, wedding, portrait and street photographers: the JetMag Pro magnetic Vario ND is always at hand to manage light, and when needed you add effects on top to give your videos and photos a personal touch.
Adjusts from 1 to 5 stops and, when you rotate the whole filter, also works as a polariser: two filters in one.
JetMag Pro Vario ND 1-5 stops 1 product
The proprietary film gives a smooth transition from 1 to 5 stops, with even tones and accurate colours. It attaches in an instant in front of the lens and you can stack other filters on top. To use it you need the JetMag Pro adapter ring: the Kit Flex already includes it, with caps and case. It also comes in a screw-in version.

How the magnetic system works
An adapter ring screws onto the lens and stays there, protected by the front cap. JetMag Pro filters attach to it on their own as you bring them close.
It locks, and comes off one at a time
Turn the coloured handle until it lines up with the white line on the ring: the filter is locked and won’t come off by accident. With several filters, only the one with its handle out of line comes off.
Locked: the coloured tabs are on the white lines of the adapter and the filter won’t come off. Recommended when travelling. Unlocked: the tabs are at 45° from the white lines. The magnet holds the filter, and to remove it you just pull the tabs.

Kits with the magnetic Vario ND 2 products
The Flex to control light up to 5 stops, for example wide open even in sunshine. The Creator adds a 4-stop ND, up to 9 stops, and the Black Mist 1/8 for a cinematic effect on skin tones and a unique atmosphere in landscapes, with minimal vignetting.

Reflection control included: rotate the whole filter to polarise
The JetMag Pro VND also works as a circular polariser. Set the ND strength you want, then rotate the whole filter to control reflections and glare: water, windows, reflective surfaces. Two filters in one, in a single compact design.
VNDs are two glass elements that rotate against each other: by their construction they are not waterproof. The hydrophobic coating on both faces repels water, fingerprints and dirt, but does not stop moisture getting into the mechanism.
How to keep vignetting to a minimum
The JetMag Pro VND 1-5 stops is designed mainly for video. Here is its vignetting chart.
Do you also use the JetMag Pro Matte Box? Tested on an 82mm Sony 16-35mm f/2.8: on 82MAG the VND vignettes noticeably at 16mm and is clean from 17mm; on 95MAG it is already clean at 16mm. If you work at 16mm with the matte box, choose 95MAG.
