Cine lenses

Two full-frame series, with a 46mm image circle and 300° focus rotation. Athena Prime: eight focal lengths from 14 to 135mm, six mounts and drop-in filters. Aureus Prime: T1.4 at every focal length.

Every focal length at a glance

Each circle is a lens: the bigger it is, the more light gets in. At T1.4 the Aureus lenses gather almost a stop more than the Athena at T1.9.

The circle’s diameter follows the aperture (1/T): its area is the light that gets in. Each Athena circle leads to the page for its focal length, the Aureus ones to the series page.

Cinema lenses, done right

  • Symmetrical interior with warm lights, shot on an Athena Prime

    Full frame, edge to edge

46mm image circle on Athena and Aureus: they cover the full-frame sensor right to the edges.

  • Portrait in a bar with blurred lights behind, shot with the Athena Prime 85mm T1.9

    Fast

Athena up to T1.9, Aureus T1.4 at every focal length: shoot in low light and separate your subject with soft bokeh.

  • Woman in a corridor of white threads, shot with an Athena Prime

    The frame doesn’t breathe

Focus breathing kept to a minimum: from minimum focus to infinity the framing stays the same. 300° focus ring with fluorescent scales.

  • Athena Prime 50mm on a camera mounted on a gimbal

    Gimbal ready

The Athena lenses are matched for weight and size, with the gears in the same position: change focal length without rebalancing.

Matte box

Working with 4×4″ or 4×5.65″ cinema filters in drawers? There’s the C5. Shooting with JetMag Pro magnetic filters? The JetMag Pro Matte Box is the lightweight alternative.

Cine filters

In optical glass, 4mm thick for standard matte boxes. The most common size is 4×5.65″: many also come in 4×4″ and 6.6×6.6″.

For shooting on the move Shooting video on the move? Go magnetic JetMag Pro filters attach in a second and lock: on the Athena (77mm thread, except the 14mm) with the 77→82MAG ring, on the Aureus (86mm) with the 86→95MAG. Discover JetMag Pro
