NiSi 65 PRIME 16mm T2.9 Large Format Cinema Lens | PL Mount

The NiSi 65 PRIME 16mm T2.9 is an ultra-wide large format cinema lens: its image circle of close to 65mm covers the ARRI ALEXA 65/265 in Open Gate and the Fujifilm GFX ETERNA 55. It is the first lens in the NiSi 65 PRIME series, in PL mount, with the focus scale in feet or metres.

65 format coverage

On the ALEXA 65/265 in Open Gate the diagonal field of view exceeds 122° (117.2° horizontal, 74.3° vertical); on the GFX ETERNA 55 in Open Gate it reaches 118° diagonal. Ultra-wide compositions that smaller formats simply can’t give you.

Sharp to the edges, without fringing

Aspherical elements hold resolution from the centre to the edges of the whole image circle. Even at T2.9, axial and lateral chromatic aberration is kept to an APO-like level, and barrel and pincushion distortion are controlled: straight lines stay straight, ideal for architecture and structured environments.

Close focus at 0.25m

With a 25cm (10″) minimum focus you can get very close to the subject and build wide-angle close-ups; at T2.9 you separate the subject even up close.

Ready for set

PL (ARRI) mount, focus gear with standard 0.8 MOD / 32 pitch and 300° rotation, compatible with follow focus systems and lens motors. Ten aperture blades, T2.9 to T22, and luminescent scales you can read in the dark. It weighs 846g, with a 95mm front diameter and 78.53mm length: light for a large format lens, on a gimbal or handheld.
