Great news for photographers with the Tamron 15-30mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2! the NiSi holders for Tamron 15-30 f/2.8 are compatible with both versions, both the “Classic” and the G2.

Classic holder for Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 & Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 G2
For those looking for a quality filter holder which does the job well and may already have a 150mm square polariser, the classic 150mm NiSi holder (also called “Q series”) is perfect. It is an affordably priced filter holder, in lightweight and durable aeronautical aluminium. Manufactured with computer controlled precision, it is coated with a matte black paint, to minimise internal reflections. This version supports up to 3 filters of 150mm width and 2mm thickness, such as NiSi 150x150mm filters, and GND 150x170mm filters.
With this holder you can take full advantage of the 150mm filter kits, which come with a considerable saving vs buying the products individually. Both the 150mm Advance Kit II and the 150mm Professional Kit II also include a 150x150mm square polariser along with ND and GND.

For those who want the best, NiSi always has something to offer. The NiSi S5 is considered the best 150mm Holder on the market, and it’s easy to see why. Thanks to several patents and a project developed around the needs of the photographer we have created a kit that includes:
- S5 filter holder in aeronautical aluminium with 2 lateral pressure slots, for precise and secure filter insertion
- Polariser (CPL PRO or Landscape) included in all kits, rotatable via external ring
- Transport bag included
The mechanics of the S5 are simple, the rear ring nut is loosened and the holder is inserted from the front. Then the locking jaw is rotated, which thanks to the gasket does not scratch the lens and blocks light pollution. Everything is then locked in place with a screw. The polariser can remain mounted, or it can be removed by unscrewing it and keeping the ring locked. Finally, the front filter holder is fitted with the polariser controllable via a discrete external wheel.
This video shows the installation on Nikon 14-24 f / 2.8, this is the same process as for the Tamron 15-30.

The NiSi S5 is available in 2 kits: the one with the CPL PRO polariser and the one with the NC Enhance Landscape polarising filter. The Landscape polariser offers three main advantages compared to the kit with standard polariser:
- Unique polarising film, with declared polarisation of 99.5%
- External Nano Coating (NC) treatment.
- Water-repellent and oleophobic for simple and precise cleaning
The recommended filter kit to accompany the S5 is the Starter kit II, which does not include the square polariser as this is already included in the NiSi S5 holder kit.
Accessories for the filter holder for Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 G2
If you need to use the Tamron 15-30 G2 holder or other threaded lenses (for example (77 or 82mm) it is possible to use simple adapters, these must be screwed to the front thread of the lens and then you can install the filter holder for Tamron 15 30.
In the case of lenses with a thread other than 77 or 82mm, it is possible to use a third-party adapter ring, also called step-up or step-down.
For example, if we have a lens with a 67mm thread, use a 67-mm step ring with the 77mm Adaptor for Tamron 15-30. The 4 adapters below can be used independently on NiSi S5 or classic “Q Series” holders, but the adapter with the wording “S5” has the aesthetics that best suits that of the NiSi S5 holder.
