NiSi Graduated Neutral Density Filters (GND) are the indispensable tool for any landscape photographer by allowing you to overcome the limits of the dynamic range of your camera, while simultaneously capturing details in the light and dark areas of the scene. Made of high quality lens grade optical glass, they will allow you to capture every little detail in your images without distortions or colour alterations. Perfect when combined with a NiSi filter holder, NiSi graduated neutral density (GND) filters are compatible with relevant third-party that support 2mm thick filters.

Reverse filters have a definite transition between light and dark (in the centre); like Hard GND filters. But unlike traditional hard GND filters, darkest area is at the centre of the filter and attenuates upwards. These filters are ideal when the highest luminescence is in the centre of the image (eg sunrise/sunset) when you want to preserve the foreground and sky detail but stop the bright centre of the shot. They most effective at longer focal lengths.

ND8, 0.9 and 3 stops are different ways to indicate the light absorption value of the filter in question.

Construction

All NiSi square use Nano Coating®, this wording indicates the use of the exclusive Nano Coating treatment which makes the filter water-repellent and oleophobic for perfect sharpness. NiSi filters also use IR technology, i.e. the coating that blocks infrared light, and therefore eliminates the risk of magenta colour cast.
