NiSi Athena Prime | Cinema Lens | G-Mount (NO DROP IN FILTER)
The NiSi Athena Prime Lens Series offers a range of focal lengths from 14mm ultra-wide angle to 135mm portrait focal length, which makes it suitable for a wide variety of photography and videography applications.
Designed with maximal micro-contrast control and ultra-low chromatic aberration, these lenses offer unparalleled image quality with finer image details. The lenses feature a large aperture of T1.9 and soft bokeh for beautiful background separation.
The Athena Prime lenses have been designed to minimise focus breathing. This means that, regardless of the focal length or aperture setting, the change in field of view when adjusting focus from the minimum focus distance to infinity is extremely small.
NiSi sharpness and optical quality
All NiSi Athena Prime lenses are matched in weight and size, which means they do not require rebalancing on a gimbal when switching between lenses. The 77mm filter thread and matched aperture and focus rings across the range also make it easy to use lens accessories such as filters and focus gears. The focus ring features 300° of rotation with fluorescent focal scales for precise focus pulls.
If you’re looking for high-quality lenses that can help you achieve professional-level photography and videography, the NiSi Athena Prime Lens Series is definitely worth considering.
All NiSi filters at your disposal
The Athena Prime lenses have a front thread of 77mm (except for the 14mm), making them compatible with both NiSi circular filters of 77mm and the Macro Close UP 77mm, as well as the NiSi V7 100mm filter system with True Color CPL, 100×100 ND filters, and 100×150 GND filters. This provides maximum quality and flexibility for your photos and videos.
The Athena Prime lenses are also perfect with the new NiSi Swift system and the C5 cinema system for greater light control.

NiSi quality at this price?
The production of a lens is extremely complex: many people, suppliers and skills are involved (much more than a filter, for example.) The simplest way to create a new product is to use third party knowledge as much as possible and then apply a brand and mark-up. NiSi, on the other hand, has once again chosen a different path by managing the project internally as much as possible. This allows us to deliver a great advantage to the customer: reduced cost.
The more complex the product, the more we will be able to save resources by managing it internally. This involves above average development times, but the results are of the quality that distinguishes NiSi products.
For the NiSi 15mm f/4 ASPH lens, we focused on what’s really important: the glass, the metal and as few electronics as possible. Although there are dozens of “smart” lenses available today, we believe that the fundamental aspects are the ones to invest in as they are the ones that make a product of superior quality; optical quality, construction accuracy and ease of use. Not using autofocus, stabilisation and other electronic aids have allowed us to offer a price that we believe is proportionate and the quality of lens grade optical glass is the same that existing NiSi customers have become accustomed to in our filters. As ever, our ultimate goal is delivering our customers’ professional products at reasonable prices.
Transparency and trust are among our founding values, and we are always available to answer your questions on any aspect of our passion for photography.
