NiSi quality at this price?

The production of a lens is extremely complex: many people, suppliers and skills are involved (much more than a filter, for example.) The simplest way to create a new product is to use third party knowledge as much as possible and then apply a brand and mark-up. NiSi, on the other hand, has once again chosen a different path by managing the project internally as much as possible. This allows us to deliver a great advantage to the customer: reduced cost.

The more complex the product, the more we will be able to save resources by managing it internally. This involves above average development times, but the results are of the quality that distinguishes NiSi products.

For the NiSi 250mm F/5.6 Reflex MF, we focused on what’s really important: the glass, the metal and as few electronics as possible. Although there are dozens of “smart” lenses available today, we believe that the fundamental aspects are the ones to invest in as they are the ones that make a product of superior quality; optical quality, construction accuracy and ease of use. Not using autofocus, stabilisation and other electronic aids have allowed us to offer a price that we believe is proportionate and the quality of lens grade optical glass is the same that existing NiSi customers have become accustomed to in our filters. As ever, our ultimate goal is delivering our customers’ professional products at reasonable prices.

Transparency and trust are among our founding values, and we are always available to answer your questions on any aspect of our passion for photography.
