NiSi filter for compact camera systems – GND8 medium

The NiSi GND8 Medium (3 stop) for compact camera systems is a rectangular GND filter that makes it possible to darken certain areas of an image, such as the bright sky, while the rest of the image is exposed normally without being affected. The medium GND is designed in such a way that it can be moved up and down to adapt it perfectly to the landscape scene. A grey graduated filter with a medium gradient transition is particularly suitable for scenes in which mountains and other objects only protrude slightly above the horizon.

Like all other NiSi filters, this one consists of high-quality, optical glass. The surface is finely ground and polished to ensure optimal sharpness with today’s UHD megapixel cameras.

This filter is compatible with the NiSi filter holders for the Fujifilm X100 series, Sony RX100 VI & VII and Ricoh GRII & GRIII.

“Medium” transition

The  medium filters have a gradient transition between the light and dark area that is softer than a hard filter but more pronounced than a soft filter. This GND filter should not be missing in any photo equipment. The medium GND filter is very versatile and can be used in most situations to take pictures against the sun or away from the sun. It is perfect when objects protrude a little over the horizon or in the mountains.
