NiSi Swift VND Mist Kit 1-9 Stops (1-5 Stops VND, 4 Stop ND, Black Mist 1/4)
The NiSi Swift VND Mist Kit (True Color 1-5 stop VND, 4 Stop ND + Black Mist 1/4) is the perfect choice for photographers who want greater control over their exposure settings. With a variable neutral density filter, this kit offers a wide range of exposure options, from 1 to 9 stops. The True Color 1-5 stop VND filter ensures that your images will avoid the color shift that can occur with other variable filters. The Exposure Range-Control filter ring allows you to easily adjust the amount of light entering the camera, while the Hard Stops at each end provide precise control. The Nano Coating on the glass ensures that your images are water resistant and anti-reflective. The optional rotating lever makes it easy to rotate the filter, even when wearing gloves. And finally, the Black Mist 1/4 reduces highlights and provides a softer look to your images.
The NiSi Swift System works seamlessly with the NiSi True Color 1-5 stop VND Variable ND filter allowing the capability to be expanded by adding extra filters simply by pressing them on the front of the NiSi True Color 1-5 stop VND Variable ND filter.
The high-definition optical glass and nano-coating on these filters will ensure that your images are clear and free of distortion. At the same time, the waterproof and anti-reflective coating will keep them looking great for years to come. Plus, the included adaptor ring makes it easy to mount the ND16 (4 Stop) or Black Mist directly to your lens without the True Color 1-5 stop VND Variable Filter.
This kit includes the NiSi True Color 1-5 stop VND Filter, ND16 (4 Stop), Black Mist 1/4, Adaptor ring, Lens cap and case.
There’s no vignetting at 18mm when stacking one filter with the True Color 1-5 Stops VND. Stacking all two filters with the True Color 1-5 Stops VND will have no vignetting at 20mm. Vignetting may occur at wider focal lengths.
NiSi Filters has created this unique filter system, the SWIFT, allowing you to transform your TRUE COLOR ND-VARIO 1-5stops (0.3-1.5) to a 5-9 VND True Color, simply pushing into place the ND16 and creating a new filter, ready to obtain a reduction of the light that enters the lens from 1 to 9 stops. The characteristics and quality of the filter avoid any “X” or “cross effect” from which variable ND filters often suffer.
The unique lens grade optical glass that made the NiSi brand famous was also used for this ND Variable. Furthermore, there is the Nano Coating treatment which makes the surface waterproof and resistant to grease and dirt. Cleaning the filters has never been easier.
Available in 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, 82mm, 95mm.
Included in every kit:
- TRUE COLOR 1-5 Stops VND
- TRUE COLOR ND16 Swift System
- Black Mist 1/4 Swift System
- Adapter Ring Swift System
- Lens Cap
- Circular filter Caddy pouch
The ND16 True Color 4 stops and the Black Mist 1/4 filters are not threaded on the lens side*, as NiSi created a new Push to Fit system in order to adapt easily and “swift” the ND16 True Color 4 stops and the Black Mist 1/4 to your TRUE COLOR ND-VARIO 1-5stops (0.3-1.5) and transforming into a TRUE COLOR ND-VARIO 5-9 stops (1.5 – 2.7) with a Black Mist effect (1/4 strength) or using it without the True Color ND Vario 1-5 stops with the Adapter Ring with Swift System in front of your lens adding the True Color ND 4 stop and/or the Black Mist 1/4, all for the Swift System filters.
Made with high quality neutral optical glass, the True Color ND16 4 stops filter is perfect for creative effects such as:
- Decrease the depth of field with strong brightness
- Control the timings in the videos and time-lapse
- Make the water look like silk
- Run and Gun shooting
No vignetting at 20mm with VND True Color 1-5 stops + True Color ND16 4 stops + Black Mist Filter 1/4*
If you want to add glass in front of your lens, make it of the highest optical and constructive quality there is, only by NiSi.
Due to the built of the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Art and on the Sony 24-70mm GMII there’s a visible vignette at 24mm up to 35mm when stacking 2 Swift System filters. This is due by the lens built and not to the Swift System itself.
