NiSi UK: What got you into photography?
Henry: After leaving university at 21, travel had harboured its way into my thoughts; it was all I wanted. During an east-west Canadian road trip, I really began to fall for landscapes. I vividly remember taking photographs on my trusty iPhone 4 – and by the time I reached the west coast, I bought my first DSLR: a Nikon D3100. So in truth, I owe my love for photography to Canada!
Talk me through your favourite shot with NiSi filters:
Henry: After a wonderful sunrise hike in the Lakes, I decided to continue exploring the area during the golden hour. I stumbled upon this beautiful stream which led down nicely to some incredible morning sidelight. I got into the water, wet feet and all, and attached my NiSi 6-stop neutral density filter. This allowed me to slow down my shutter speed just a touch and thus capture a slight long exposure effect in the foreground cascades. Gorgeous!
What is your dream location to photograph?
Henry: Britain, all day long.
